Handsom was founded in late 2009 by British couple Sam Rush and Henry Allum. Combining the two designers backgrounds in fashion and product design, each collection balances contemporary design, with considered functionality, and a focus on the everyday. Since its inception, the brand has evolved to develop a signature look that is understated yet confident, which has steadily and quietly gained a following both locally and internationally. The first Handsom store opened its doors in Melbourne, in October 2012. It is from here that the brand is currently based, with headquarters and design studio situated above the store.
