IPL Permanent Hair removal targets the melanin pigment within the hair follicle. Intense pulsed light is turned into heat within the hair shaft which then destroys the hair matrix and bulb. This is relatively pain free and can be likened to the flicking of a rubber band on the skin. As IPL delivers non-ionising rays, it is safe on the skin and does not induce skin cancer.
