1. Stretch out your body
Cool down your body to a resting position. Means it will be the best for your body if you walk out of the gym in the same way as you entered. This will help decrease soreness(if any), increase your range of motion and most importantly, help your body in the recovery process. Holding your stretches for atleast 15 seconds will benefit your body.
2. Refuel the body with post-workout nutrition
Post-workout nutrition is equally important like pre-workout snack is important. Your body needs fuel(nutrition) to recover after a tough workout. After workout, for a few minutes, your body looks for carbohydrates and protein. So it is important to recover your body in a timely manner by giving the nutrition to it.
3. Take a shower
Taking a shower after an intense workout will decrease the inflammation and helps the healing process. If you are more focused on recovery, then you are able to perform day-in and day-out just like the athletes. Make sure the temperature of the shower is a little bit cooler than you usually set. Cool shower will boost the whole process.
